How To Use And Activate Incognito Mode On YouTube Android App

Youtube has rolled out a feature which is known as incognito mode.

What Is YouTube Incognito Mode All About?

YouTube recommends videos based on your previous search history. But there are times when you wouldn’t like view your previous searches on YouTube for some reasons. Maybe you visited some x-rated videos last time and you want to check football score with some friends, youtube will present you with the previous x-rated videos you visited last time. And you know, that’s awkward. Now, the incognito mode will give you the option to choose what shows up in your search history.

The incognito mode for YouTube is available only on Android smartphone for now. There is no information about it rolling out to iOS devices for now.

Here Is A Step-by-Step Guide On How To Use Incognito Mode In The YouTube App

 

 

  • Open the YouTube app.
  • Tap on the avatar icon on the top right-hand corner of the app.
  • Then, from the ‘Account’ section, tap on ‘Turn on Incognito’ to activate the incognito mode for YouTube.

 

How To Use And Activate Incognito Mode On YouTube Android App 1In the Incognito mode, the avatar icon will be replaced by a Black Incognito symbol and there will be a Black bar at the bottom with a message ‘You’re incognito’

How To Use And Activate Incognito Mode On YouTube Android App 2Once you have gone incognito, you can browse and watch any video you want and the app will no longer save it in your search history.

Note: The incognito mode is a new feature so you will need to update your YouTube app to the latest version for you to get this feature.
