Xiaomi Has Confirmed That Mi Mix 3 Will Have a Whopping 10GB RAM and 5G NetworkOctober 20, 2018
Xiaomi has confirmed that its company’s flagship smartphone the “Mi MIX 3” will be the first smartphone with 5G support.
The phone will be officially announced on October 25, in Beijing and it promises to be one of the most exciting Xiaomi phones we’ve seen in a while, due to an unusual way of maintaining the all-screen look synonymous with the Mi Mix range, and some incredible world-first technology.
The phone will likely include 3D face unlock that was introduced in the Mi 8, large FHD+ AMOLED display with screen-to-body ratio of over 90%, Snapdragon 845 with up to 8GB, and similar AI dual rear cameras as the Mi 8.
The Chinese company also said that it will support up to 10 GB RAM meaning there might be an explorer edition and Slide out camera is not left out. This is different to the approach taken with previous Mi Mix phones, where the selfie camera has been in the phone’s chin, forcing you to turn the phone upside down to take a selfie from the correct angle. It was a neat, but cumbersome solution.
The company continued to explain in a further tweet that the design was chosen to provide “an even better full screen display experience, especially for photography,” and revealed the company had also experimented with a pop-up camera like that seen on the Vivo Nex S, but decided not to pursue it for the Mi Mix 3.
Rumors place the screen resolution at 2,340 x 1,080 pixels, with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, but do not state the size of the OLED panel.
For now, we will just await for more updates on this.
